Irrigation Equipment Design

A sophisticated irrigation system deserves the technical support that ARC Irrigation can provide. Our knowledge in the irrigation industry provides us with the expertise needed to carry a project from planning to application. Here is an outline of our Design Process:

Preliminary Meeting

The basis of a successful project is the design brief. It is therefore essential to define the parameters within which the irrigation system is to be designed.

At a preliminary meeting we will establish:

1. The type of plants and or turf to be irrigated.
2. The area to be irrigated.
3. Possible future expansion.
4. Soil conditions, topography and climate of the site.
5. Available water source(s) and power supply.
6. Budget for expenditure
7. A timescale for the project.

Detailed Design

Having reviewed and agreed the outline proposal, a detailed design will be produced including:

1. Layout drawings.
2. Draft Bill of Product Quantities.
3. Irrigation schedule.
4. Control system program.

Outline Proposal

From the design brief we will produce an outline proposal for the client to consider.

This outline will, as a minimum, provide details of the proposed:

1. Water storage capacity and location.
2. Pump set type.
3. Main pipework routes.
4. Irrigation methods and emitter types.
5. Control equipment.

This will allow the client to review the proposed basic components of the irrigation system and to provide their input in preparation for the detailed design process.
